Some more oyster mushrooms produced from glass jars containing used coffee grounds. The coffee is gradually being consumed by the mycelium, so more flushes should follow.

Very impressive
This has definitely inspired me to give it a go!
Out of interest, are there any taste issues because of the coffee grounds?
Thanks Dan, I’m hoping to get much bigger yields from larger tubs in the spring.
Taste is unaffected by the substrate, i have grown oysters on straw, newspaper, and now coffee, and they all taste the same…good.
A bit of an extreme example, but a lady in Mexico has grown them on used nappies, taste unaltered!

Just what I would need to add to some omelettes:) cut some up and bring them to fry for the next Transition Potluck
