FORTHCOMING VOLUNTEERING PROJECTS (motivate projects)
GUITAR
CLUB – Kenny Macleod is starting a FREE guitar workshop for beginners –
young people aged 16 – 25 years are very welcome to attend.

BOOK CLUB – will be running soon if there’s enough interest.

CHALLENGING DISABILITY STEREOTYPES
We’re
soon running a brilliant new part time project (a coupleof hours a
week) which will look at challenging disability stereotypes. During the
project we’ll visit disabled dance troupes and athletes as well as
meeting successful people who have overcome various disabilities and
are living happy, normal lives. The idea is to challenge any prejudice
we may have about disability.

EMBRACING CULTURAL DIVERSITY
We
live in an ethnically diverse town and this part time opportunity will
explore other cultures including music, religion and cuisine from
Jewish and Asian to Caribbean and European. The aim is to learn more
about our wonderfully diverse ethnic community.

BANDS NEEDED
We’re about to run a band night and would like to hear from acts who want to take part.

EMAIL – Janedolby@southendymca.com for info about any MOTIVATE volunteering projects.
