This mushroom growing in coffee grounds business began last autumn, when i had unsuccessfully tried to produce white oyster mushrooms from toilet tissue (fresh of course)

These ‘failures’ became the starter spawn for a tray of spent coffee, and 8 months later, has produced a healthy crop.

No energy inputs applied, just natural ambient warmth, no maintenance, just left to get on with colonising!

Total yield was 500grams, the highest so far, and around 5% of the total substrate weight.
